Recently I faced such problem on my computer. I unable to reach some of the webpages on the other hand all other webpages are opening properly. I tried different browsers such as chrome, opera, mozilla, and IE also cannot open with a message in mozilla “server not found”, I then tried to find answers online, after a series of days I have found a solution that works like heaven, Let’s see how to fix this issue :
Most typical reason for this problem is flawed DNS server entries in your LAN connection properties, or sometimes the DNS server entries may be appropriate but due to certain errors, the DNS servers used by your connection will not be able to find the website that are not visible to you.
4 simple steps to fix:
In order to solve the problem you need to try alternative DNS servers like OpenDNS , AT&T dns servers or Spectranet dns servers etc.
These are some dns servers sets which you’ll be able to attempt (for every set follows the order: primary dns,secondary dns).
- Open DNS servers: 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
- AT&T DNS servers: 4.2.2.1, 4.2.2.2
- Spectranet DNS servers: 203.122.63.152, 203.122.63.154
How to change dns servers in network connections?
1. Open Start >> Control Panel >> Network Connections.
2. Find your internet connection in “LAN or High-Speed Internet”
3. Right click on connection and select properties.
4. Select Internet Protocol (tcp/ip) and press Properties button. On this screen change the DNS servers by using any one of the DNS server settings specified above (as shown in the image below).
Try all the DNS server settings one by one at least one of them will work for you.
