Firefox crash problem when click “Image Uploader” in wordpress 2.7.

Whether anyone has ever experienced a problem with the Firefox browser crashes when trying to upload images while do posting on wordpress 2.7 ? I have this experience when trying to add a photo in my posting, just click the “upload images” will make my firefox browser crash.

After searching for answers in various forums and website for this issue, finally met one solution that are right for this problem:

Source of the problem is on the installed “Gears” in the Fire Fox 3.0.11 and this caused a kind of conflict between Gears and Firefox 3.0.11.

The solution = Click on “Tools” (at top position of your FF browser) and clickn the “AddOns” and disable gears and your problems should go away.

A Must!
I was advised to use Firefox, instead of Internet Explorer, to avoid viruses. Once you’ve used Firefox, you’ll never go back to IE.

Although Firefox is coming up on version 3 and this book is for a much earlier version, most of what it said pertained to the version that I was using.

Franchise comfort
For a beginner, the information in the “Dummies” book have the ease of use of a Wendy’s, Applebee’s, etc. Good, basic information, easy to digest.
