Upgraded all my blogs to WordPress 2.9 last night, only one blog face problem so far, found the following two error :

1. Warning: gzuncompress() [function.gzuncompress]: data error in /home/andihope/public_html/wp-includes/http.php on line 1831
2. Scheduled posts are missed. That is to say that any posts I’ve written, and published with a date in the future are not made live once the correct time has passed.

I’ve search the advice of many posters on WP forums as well as those found on the web elsewhere. Turns out I’m not alone in getting these two errors. At least I’ve found good solution for my blog:

1. For this number 1 problem solution, just download http.php from below link .Upload to your server and replace old http:php files. http://core.trac.wordpress.org/export/11450/trunk/wp-includes/http.php
2. There are three options until a fix, and hopefully 2.9.1 is released – either go to the edit page that lists all posts, and click the quick edit option for the missed post (then change the post status to published), OR use the MIA plugin mentioned in that support thread. I’ve not tried the plugin myself, though others have reported success.   I’ve used the quick edit option instead (editing the post directly does not allow you to change the status to published, you’ll need to do it from the quick edit option within the edit page for all posts.) OR by modifying the timeout in wp-includes/cron.php. Approximately in the line number 205, I changed:
   wp_remote_post ($cron_url, Array (‘ timeout’ => 0.01, ‘ blocking’ => false));
   To 20 seconds:
   wp_remote_post ($cron_url, Array (‘ timeout’ => 20, ‘ blocking’ => false));
   Basically for those using cPanel, you will have to log into your cPanel, find the file manager, access /public_html/wp-includes/cron.php, and than edit the timeout details as suggested.

So, how long before I can expect WordPress to fix this issue? Yes, I am very upset. I live and die by scheduled posts on my blog. If I have any more problem with this blog probably I will downgrade back to 2.8. How can I downgrade my installation?

One problem you may face into when you create a static page for your home page that links to a page that now appears on the main site navigation, so you have two links to the same page – the page is usually called “Home” on the main site navigation. In this article shows how to hide a link from your site navigation so that your site’s visitor are not confused with duplicate links.

Or sometimes you want to create a page in WordPress, but do not want them listed in the header or at footer navigation area? But you still want the page is accessible, so you do not want to make them private. You can do this by excluding the page and I’ll show you how to do it.

1. If you have a “self-hosted”  site instead of one hosted on WordPress.com, you may be able to use the Exclude Pages Plugin for WordPress to hide your extra Home page link and any links that appear in your sidebar Pages navigation. By upload and activate the plugin then create or edit a page, and just exclude it from the navigation.

2. Edit your themes files, pages are displayed with the following code, which is generally used in the header, footer, or sidebar.

<?php wp_list_pages();?>

This will list all of your pages until you add conditions in between ‘()’. You need to use the exclude condition and find out what number ID each page has. The exclude code looks like

<?php wp_list_pages(‘exclude=18,26′ ); ?>

You can see that you have added ‘exclude=18,26′ to the original

list pages code.

Of course, we need to locate the correct ID numbers for your pages.

Go to Manage > Pages and select the name of the page in which you would like to exclude. In the address bar of your web browser will be a URL that looks like the following.

http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/page.php?action=edit&post=18

The number at the end, 18, is the ID number for the page and is the number you will use in the exclude code. You can do this for each page that you want to exclude as long as you put a comma between the page numbers in the code.

Unique question that seems to never have a truly right right answer is “how much a newcomer earn extra money online per-day ?”. Hence I thought I’d make it a shot and present you a a couple of ways to produce 20 dollars a day by hitting little dollar amounts with multiple sources. Makes sense ? I’m saying 20 dollars because it looks like a fair reachable goal for most individuals. There’s so many situations where beginners are given the information on how to create extra money online but they never make out anything with it because they’re either deluged or only too darn lazy.  me attempt to set this out for you.

6. eBay - People have loads of money on eBay everyday. Why don’t you get your share? Think, you can sell just about anything on there. If you have nothing to sell. Try Doba or some other similar company. You can sell info such as ebooks as well.
7. Reviews for money – If you think you’re no writer,  again. Anyone can do it. I’m willing to bet there’s many people that would allow you review them for $1 or$2. That’s cheap! Use a free blog at blogger.com if you want. Get your site a little established and set the sponsored posts for even more. Try using services such as Payperpost and Reviewme. Set a paid review routine or as often as you can. Also check out DigitalPoint again to find people to review.
8. Make money on twitter -  twitter as a money making platform, with your twitter account you could join a  PPC (Pay per click) services that gain me earned  $ 10 – $15  a day. There you have it. 10 ways to have 20 bucks a day. Of course several programs will be easier to gain 2 dollars or even way more per day. But finally you can growth income as you acquire traffic and knowledge.

Note: the more sites you sign up to and apply, the more extra money you make.

Example: If you sign up to 8 sites and earn $50 on all site, that’s $400 you’ve earned.
